Eligibility Criteria

There are two intakes for Ireland universities.

Intake 1:
it commence in September and ends in February/July
Intake 2: it commence in January and ends in September /October

Documents Required

  • letter of acceptance from a recognized Irish institution
  • The score of an English language proficiency test such as IELTS
  • Proof of fees payment
  • Medical insurance details
  • Proof of having no criminal records
  • Evidence of funds €7,000 to provide your living expenses for the duration of your course

Applying Process

You can apply for your student visa application online using the Irish Government’s official website. You can apply up to three months before your intended date of travel to Ireland. Remember, your application date is the date when your application fee is paid.

Cost of Applying for Ireland Student Visas

The tuition fees differ from graduate, postgraduate, and doctorate. They are as follows:

  • Undergraduate program -10,000 to 25000 € annually
  • Masters/post-graduate program-9000-35000 € annually
  • Doctorate degree-9000-30000 € annually
Although fees vary depending on your country of origin, standard visa application processing fees are €60 (US$80) for a single-entry visa and €100 (US$135) for multiple entries

Processing Time for Student Visa

Processing times depend on the category of visa application. They also depend on the volume of applications which varies throughout the year. The Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service and the Embassy of Ireland, New Delhi cannot guarantee the outcome or the length of time an application takes to process; neither can it guarantee the return of passport and documents within a certain time frame. This is due to the fact that visa applications are assessed individually and individual circumstances can mean processing times may vary and result in longer decision times
The visa processing time is variable, depending on your nationality and other factors. Usually, you will get an answer in 4 to 8 weeks from the date on which your application is lodged at the Visa Office/Embassy/Consulate
